Bosnia and Herzegovina is a mountainous Balkan country with a short Adriatic outlet. Sarajevo mixes the Ottoman bazaar of Bascarsija, Austro-Hungarian quarters and the memory of the 1984 Winter Olympics. In Mostar the rebuilt Old Bridge spans the Neretva, with the Kravice waterfalls nearby. The Dinaric mountains, turquoise rivers and deep canyons shape the landscape.
