Morocco sits in north-west Africa between the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the Sahara. Marrakesh is known for Jemaa el-Fnaa square and its gardens, Fez for the oldest medina and its tanneries, Chefchaouen for blue-washed streets. The Atlas mountains cross the country, with the dunes of Merzouga beyond. The table rests on tagines, couscous and mint tea served everywhere.
