Stars of Russian Radio Festival in Zavidovo: music, sport and family fun under the open sky
July 25‑26 the Zavidovo waterfront hosted the large‑scale 'Stars of Russian Radio' festival. Concerts, sports and kids’ programmes turned the weekend into a bright family outing.
Festival opening on the Black Sea shore
On July 25 the main stage of the Zavidovo waterfront complex filled with a massive crowd of Russian pop fans. Under open sky and a gentle summer breeze, they were treated to the crisp sound of familiar hits, while the lighting underscored the festive mood. The mix of sea‑side setting and stage production drew thousands, many of whom came not just to listen but to sing along.
Star‑studded lineup
On stage appeared the names that regularly echo on Russian Radio. Among them:
- Philipp Kirkorov, whose voice has long been part of the country's musical landscape;
- Larisa Dolina, with her distinctive timbre and powerful delivery;
- Yolka, representing modern pop‑energy;
- Irakli Pirtskhalaava, known for his high‑octane tracks;
- Dmitry Koldun, a favourite among younger audiences;
- Irina Dubtsova and Leonid Rudenko, adding a touch of romance;
- the group SEREBRO, bringing a more dynamic sound;
- the rock band Zemlyane, injecting retro‑energy;
- 5UTRA, MARGO and the legendary Alice, closing the night with varied styles.
Each act performed its most recognizable songs, and the crowd answered with loud, chant‑like shouts, turning the concert into a genuine dialogue between stage and audience.
Family corner by RU.TV
At the same time as the main concert, the Russian Media Group ran a kids’ 'RU.TV Kids Picnic'. Youth idols such as David Turov, MIBREOO, RAVILOVA, Karina Kagra and Anastasia Bright performed for their young fans, sparking a light, bright energy. After the sets, children could meet popular bloggers, including Kristina Charm, known for her videos and huge social‑media following.
Sports activities and music master‑classes
The second segment, called 'Sport. Music. RU.TV', gave guests joint workouts led by channel hosts Ivan Chuykov and Ksenia Akchurina. Participants could try a light exercise routine and watch performances by artists such as Anna Nemchenko, VENERA, 5UTRA, HANNA, SEREBRO, MARFA, Roman Arkhipov, VITA CHIKOVANI and the duo Zaur & Meirinkito.
Day two: warm‑up, relays and foam disco
On July 26 the venue shifted to the Zavidovo Aqua & Spa complex. The morning opened with an energetic warm‑up run by 'Wake Up Aylish' hosts Diana Tereshkova and Vadim Adamov. After the stretch, guests joined sports relays, testing stamina and team spirit.
In the evening the water park turned into a foam‑party arena. Dance flash‑mobs lifted spirits even in the hottest hour, capping the weekend with a vivid finale.
How the festival suited different guest groups
For music lovers the headline event – an open‑air live concert – offered a chance to hear favorite hits in their original form. For families with kids, the 'RU.TV Kids Picnic' created a safe, entertaining zone where youngsters could meet their idols and join creative workshops.
Sports enthusiasts found sessions that let them combine seaside relaxation with a useful workout. The foam disco at the water park proved a great way to end the day, gathering anyone who wanted to dance in a light‑hearted setting.
Weekend wrap‑up
The 'Stars of Russian Radio' festival in Zavidovo showed how music, sport and family fun can coexist in a single event. In two days participants sang alongside the stars, tried new activities and escaped the city rush, soaking up sea breezes and summer sun.
